presets

This was my first time using Ableton so I just spent the time browsing presets, really. I tried to stay in a creative mode so I scrolled down the presets and plucked around. This is actually from a long time ago so I don’t remember why I was in a “Mass Effect map screen” mode but I don’t hate it and I wouldn’t mind being there more haha.

These are all for the most part built in presets in Ableton. I didn’t spend enough time in it to make anything of my own beyond tweaking the EQ or compressor for each channel. I also didn’t include the reverb and delay which Ableton loads by default. I don’t always do that in my other DAWs but it’s nice, obviously. People do that. I also have some kind of glue preset compressor and a fast limiter at the end to clamp it down a little or probably too much in this case.

For exporting I just let Ableton do whatever it was gonna do. I mentioned that this was when I was trying Ableton out just to see what things were like so I’m not familiar with what the export would even give me. I do admit I was really happy to see the loop export option. For game music applications like this, that seems so nice. Am I lazy or do people not talk about that feature or both?
